Beaumaris Runfest wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, and we're now looking for help to make this year's event another success.
Whether you've volunteered before or would like to get involved for the first time, it's a fantastic way to support your local community, meet new people and play an important part in a memorable day for everyone.
Please see the following letter from Steve MacVicar for more information.
Dear Volunteer Team,
The 2026 Beaumaris Run Fest is being held on SATURDAY 12th and SUNDAY 13th SEPTEMBER and is organised by the Beaumaris Town Road Runners and Canolfan Hamdden Beaumaris.Â
This is our 6th Run Fest. As in previous years the weekend events are as follows:
SATURDAY 12th: CHILDREN’s RACES held inside Beaumaris Castle 4 - 6pm
SUNDAY 13th: Adult 10K and Half Marathon start 10:00am outside the Castle and finish inside from 10:50am - 1;30pm.
We need about 20 volunteers on the Saturday and about 40 on the Sunday.Â
The event raised over £5,000 last year for local groups including the Canolfan, our local schools and other local groups. We are hoping to beat the total again this year!
If you can help as a marshal either inside or outside the Castle from 1 hour to, at the very most, 4 hours or so on September 12th and/or September 13th please let me know. Your support is really appreciated. Â
Also, we are holding a FREE First Aid training session on FRIDAY 21st AUGUST 5 - 8pm in Canolfan Beaumaris. This is specifically for marshals. The session is for up to 12 people and we have 7 free spaces still available. Please let me know if you would like to attend the session.
Many many thanks.
Best wishes
Steve
